Chance, I’m working on a book, and a series of articles for aspiring Entrepreneurs. I was wondering if I could feature a short story from YOUR entrepreneurial journey?
The book was inspired by a series of interviews I did with Seth Godin, Mark Cuban & Mike Shinoda. So you’ll be in great company.
The working title of the project is “No Grit, No Glory”. I want to know about a time when you were cornered, doomed and done. Up against the wall, with no way out. But you fought, and you found a way through and turned disaster into triumph.
My mission, is finding and sharing these meaningful stories. Stories that inspire struggling Entrepreneurs to stay the course, see it through and take action. Especially when all the odds seem against them.
Frankly, I’m sick of the gilded picture the mainstream media paint of entrepreneurial life. Apparently building a business is something you do over the summer. And the biggest challenge you face is whether to sell to Google or Facebook in the fall.
I believe this expectation of instant success leaves Entrepreneurs unprepared for the reality of building a business. They feel isolated and inferior when they have to face the challenges of a journey that doesn’t match up to the hype.
It’s my mission to bring these people together. To foster a culture of prepared Entrepreneurs. Bonded, cautioned and inspired by the reality of entrepreneurial life.
You’re already a hero, a mentor and a thought leader to the next generation of Entrepreneurs. But maybe there’s a story that you haven’t shared yet, or shared deeply, because no one has asked?
Maybe that’s the story that could help make a real lasting impact in the lives of the most promising Entrepreneurs? The story that helps them push through and finish that project that changes the world.
There are so many exciting young companies out there right now, being toiled over in basements and bedrooms and garages by the Elon Musks of tomorrow.
Would you help me help them, by sharing a short tale of tenacity, grit and determination from your life?
If the idea appeals, let me know and I’ll send you the details. I have a written, interview-type format to make it really simple.
I’d love to work with you.
